Server changes and downtime....

There will be downtime sometime in the future expected to last a few days (some servers will come online quicker than others) to change the Operating System on all RKS servers to the latest one to improve stability and performance.

Specific Changes....
Daedalus - Windows 2008 Std x64 to Windows 2008 R2 Web x64
Odyssey - Windows 2008 Web x64 to Windows 2008 R2 Std x64

This will also save up to 30 dollars in monthly server costs.

Changes to RKS Admin Purchase Policies

I hereby enact these new policies.

Effective immediately, Admin privileges can no longer be purchased using real life currency. This includes US dollars, Euros, etc.
Admin privileges can now only be bought by RKS members using Pyters, our virtual currency. They are currently priced at 2500 per month. Note: Conversion of Real Life currency into Virtual currency is possible at a fixed rate of 5 dollars per 1000 pyters.
Admin sales for TF2 and CS:S does not exist! Only on GMOD!

Reason for changes: I have thought about this for a while. Admin sales brings in money. In fact, there was a time when I was able to make 200 dollars per month on just admin sales

RKS Dedicated Servers and Website Downtime

RKS Dedicated Server Assignments are now changing. One of the hosts used by RKS is proving to be problematic. As such, these are the new servers. Please note: To ease the ability to manage the servers and provides updates, I have now assigned names for each server.

Record the player who is breaking the rules using FRAPS(for fraps, you must follow the directions below) or take a Demo or provide some sort of evidence. At the minimum provide the date and time when the infraction took place so that we can find the server logs detailing the incident.

[RESOLVED] TCAdmin Server Failure

Because the current host that runs the TCAdmin Server sucks, the server was taken offline earlier today. As such, RKS has lost the abilty to easily control the game servers. Instead, restarts, updates, etc has to be done manually through the game servers's RDP.

A new server has been ordered with serverbeach and I plan to cancel the service with my current host for the TCAdmin server. Until then, there may be unforeseen issues. Please contact me immediately if the server is down, or exhibiting weird behavior or needing a update, etc.

Estimated time until fix: 36 hours.
