Found a strange bug in Gmod

After changing the map over to sunvale last night when the server had quieted down, most people carried over and were afk. After everybody else left, it was just myself and this one afk guy Blox. I flew over to spawn and didn't see him there, so I teleported to him. I ended up in a black area which I assumed to be the bottom of the map, like on downtown. As it turns out, I had entered the twilight zone. Or something like it at least. I figured that somehow I must've gone to null coordinates, but I checked later and they were just a strange, absurdly large number. (I had to burn myself to death to get out.) The interesting thing is, it seems that Garry's Mod couldn't handle the location somehow, and any tool I held would get mangled and the faces/vertices dislocated in very awkward ways. I took some screenshots and tried uploading them on some site I found, it seems to have crapped out though. Has anyone ever heard, seen, or experienced anything even remotely like this?

PS- I'll upload them someplace I can actually count on at some point. Today (Wednesday) probably. I just found this really, really bizarre and wanted to share it.

This sounds like the start of some weird creepypasta. Blox is gong to be some kind of supernatural being here to eat our souls when we play Gmod at night.
 
That's strange that he spawned outside the map. but i know what the dark "twilight zone" is. As in Source SDK, the skybox surrounds the whole map leaving the dark matter outside the map. it's pretty much a endless thing. if you go to far, The Half life 2 engine might not be able to handle the amount of space that you are going to. Ive actually had this before and i looked it up, and that's the best possible answer i could of find to figuring it out. I still don't know how he spawned outside the map though. or even got out.
 
interesting and quite strange. at first it reminded me of going in the white room on construct and making all the walls invisible but that is completely something else. don t know how you could duplicate it though..
 
Today Reckless visited the twilight zone. True story. Getting there may have something to do with your npc being killed while afk.
