RKSzone.com Dark RP server map rotation

This thread is to talk about the maps for the Dark RP server above this post we will have a poll that is for the time you think we should have between map changes. If you have any suggestions on maps that you would like to see placed on the server post a link below with a short description on why the map should be added. I am looking for 2 - 3 maps. The rules about the maps are

1. the map must be big enough that cars will be allowed to run on the map (this excludes city 18)

2. the map must have a source of water so that people can fish

3. the map must have a good housing and business area (we don't want people to have to make shops/houses out of props every time they join the server)

4. the map has to be small enough so that people can download the map from the server. (the map that I was going to place on the server was gm_mobenix_v3_final this map was cut. while it did meet the other 3 requirements and had a LOT of nice features the map is 216MB in size) I would suggest that the map stay under 60MB in size, the map can go over in size slightly if needed.

If you have multiple maps that you think have a chance, make a post for each one. I will look at each map and then I will make a new vote on the final selections. Even if a map might not fully fit the car rule or the fishing rule post it up and who knows it just might make the cut.

Can't you just add a source of water? (Fountain?) Besides no source of water, it's great for what you guys are requiring.

um while i don't think that the 9mb compressed will be a problem if maps count be posted in the future with an uncompressed size that would be great //

no i can't add a source of water that would require me to reverse the map and edit it and unless I go to the map creator and ask if I could edit his map then I could.

Most of you know, but for the people that don't know, Sun vale v2 requires Ep. 2 which turns out to be a problem. after looking at the map and what it would be like without Ep2 I dont suggest adding it to our new maps.

well after looking at all the maps as of right now i am adding RP_Sunvale and rp_metropolis_v2. the reason these maps where picked over the others is

1. rp_omerta_1950 good map but has no water
2. rp_sunvale_v2 Really good map but requires episode 2 (version 1 doesn't)
3. rpw_downtown_v3b ok map but i feel this is a little to close to the current map on the server
4. Rp_Cityway_V1 really nice map but it is 130 MB and people cant download that off the server

Due to the problems above listed with the maps and the need for a third map I am putting rp_metropolis_v2 into the map rotation. This way i have 3 maps that will be on rotation. but due to the fact that there are a LOT of maps out there i will be keeping the thread open and will be on the look out for new maps that could take the place of rp_metropolis_v2 or even rp_downtown_v4c.

So with that in mind give the maps on the server a try and post what you think about them and if you have a map that you think should replace one of the ones on the server post it here just make sure it follows the guide lines.

the program used for the map rotation is broke. at the moment im switching the maps manually but im looking into another program to use.

v4c_v2 is an awesome map. A lot of improvements were made. However the sewers are gone and the only place to fish is the fountain. If this map is added to the server it could be confusing to some people to have both down towns given the similarities.
