NumbNuts thinks that we should make a hunting skill in GMS, sounded pretty cool to me so i'm putting it up for him. Basically if you kill an npc and collect the npcs drop ex: (Kill antlion and pick up its meat) you get experience but only if you get the drop which could be x%. The harder the npc the more it drops

anyone agree?
 
ok sounds like a good idea if the server can handle it and if someone can code it in. With the experience if someone were to code it they could put kill=(x exp) then kill + drop=(x exp + Eexp)
 
Easy to make the NPC drop things, easy to make you level up when you pick up things...
Strangely enough what's hard is changing the ownership of an NPC... I could never get that to work...
Antlions (or NPC) spawns will also have to be coded into the map...
