This is an important, POSSIBLY IMPACTING maintenance message concerning your
server(s):

server01.rkszone.net
server02.rkszone.net
server05.rkszone.net

In a continuing effort to improve the ServerBeach service offering, we will be performing two proactive repairs of the critical electrical system during the following windows:

Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 7:00 AM EST - 7:00 PM EST Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 7:00 AM EST - 7:00 AM EST on Monday, September 20, 2010.

The purpose of the two maintenances is to replace two static transfer switches that feed our Herndon, Virginia Data Center. One static transfer switch will be replaced during each maintenance window. The projected duration of the maintenance window scheduled for Sunday, September 12, 2010 is 12 hours and the maintenance window scheduled for Sunday, September 19, 2010 is 24 hours.

Please be advised that engineers will be doing both maintenances on the emergency power system that feeds your server(s) while it is still energized.
This means we will not be shutting off power to your solution, but there is a certain amount of risk involved with working on electrical systems while they are energized. We will have staff and infrastructure in place to act in the unfortunate event something does go wrong. We are not expecting any power interruptions, but we will be prepared to react quickly.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance, please feel free to contact us at 800.741.9939 x1 or through our ticketing system at my.serverbeach.com.

For updates, during the maintenance window please watch our forums at http://forums.serverbeach.com.

Sincerely,

Ryan Murphey

Dear Valued Customer,

Last night, 11/08/10, between 2:08am and 2:18am BST (GMT+1), the Peer1 UK Data Centre experienced an issue where connectivity was lost to multiple customers, due to a spanning tree loop. This loop emerged unexpectedly while Peer1 Network Engineering was conducting standard maintenance on sub-distribution switch fabric.

The engineers quickly identified the issue and removed the spanning tree loop.
Data centre connectivity was restored at 2:10am BST (GMT+1).

The root problem that contributed to the spanning tree loop has been identified. In the next few weeks a maintenance window will be co-ordinated to remove all elements that contributed to this unfortunate situation.

PEER 1 regrets the inconveniences associated with this incident and will stand behind its Service Level Agreement. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Support Team or your Client Relations/Technical Account Manager.
